JustBetween Lovers has not only an entertaining value, but it also tells a beautiful story in which pain is not erased, rather embraced and celebrated as a core human emotion. Its really beautiful and the main leads are interesting, especially the male lead. He's a unique character and the actor who plays him is so subtle and touching. I definitely recommend it. Also, it's not a comedy but it's not as dark and heavy as some reviews I've seen online say it is.
Theres a strong emphasis on subtle human emotion and quiet sadness, which makes for a poignant viewing. In many ways it feels exactly right for this type of storytelling, but it's up to personal taste whether this can become a deal-breaker for some viewers. That being said, the drama is not dull by any means.

AtĂ© a prĂłxima! ✨ Texto Alessandra Borges RevisĂŁo Hope
Just Between Lovers tells the stories of people who struggle but persevere in order to make something of their lives. Ten years ago, a mall that collapsed due to bad construction killed many people and altered the lives of the survivors. A man Junho lost his father as well as severely injured his leg and a woman Won Jin Ah lost her little sister. As they work on a new building project, they struggle to heal old wounds as they fall in love. Junho plays Lee Kang Doo. Kang Doo lost everything because of the mall collapse. His father, his dreams, and the chance at a normal life. Now he struggles to get by while living in debt. His situation is just bleak. He also deals with some severe Post Traumatic Stress from the accident. He’s a very rough around the edges and straight forward guy. But watching him deal with traumatic memories that brought him so much pain and so many tears ripped my heart out. And honestly, he’s one of those people that one bad thing after another just keeps happening to. He just can’t catch a break in life! It was so incredibly sad to see. And Junho did absolutely wonderful at portraying this character and capturing the intensity of his pain. Won Jin Ah is Ha Moon Soo. After her little sister was killed in the accident, her family never fully recovered. And she deals with survivors guilt for living when her sister didn’t. The accident also led her down a career path building models for new buildings to identify any problems. This ultimately leads her to cross paths with Kang Doo. Then we have Lee Ki Woo as Seo Joo Won. Joo Won’s life was also changed by the mall collapse. As an architect at the company Moon Soo works for, he’s always working to prevent a similar tragedy to the one in the past. On the outside, he seems to have everything, but underneath that he is a lonely man who also struggles with the past. I was a bit disappointed with how his character was handled. I was really interested in his story, and he was an important part of the first half of the drama. But he kind of falls to the wayside in the second half, and his story sort of peters out. Supporting characters ended up with much bigger roles than he did. So I was a bit let down that he wasn’t given more attention. Just Between Lovers is a sad but beautiful story. The script was well thought out with all scenes and character interactions having importance. The cinematography is gorgeous in this drama. So many shots beautifully depict the landscape as well as the emotional weight of the character’s interactions. The wonderful soundtrack also enhances this. The songs create a hauntingly bittersweet tone that really tugged at my heartstrings. Just Between Lovers is sort of a slow burn kind of drama. It takes a few episodes to really get everything set up and then it carefully makes it’s way through the story. Despite having a slower feel to it, it was paced really well. There were some times during the latter third that I found a bit draggy, but overall the drama is very engaging. The love story between Gang Doo and Moon Soo had a very natural progression. Rather than any big theatrics, it developed organically in a way that made each subtle development feel important. These are two people that are in immense pain, and they feel alone in their struggles. But connecting with each allows them to explore their shared connection and understand that they are not alone in their pain. They each have a lot of issues to work through both personally and as a couple, but their relationship is the definition of a healing one. Now almost everyone in this drama is experiencing varying levels of misery. Everyone has problems and most are struggling to get through them. Something I really appreciated with this drama was how it handled the topic of past trauma. It doesn’t sugar coat things. Many people expect victims of trauma to just get over it and move on. But this drama shows that these experiences have lifelong effects. Losing a loved one will always leave a hole in your heart. Traumatic memories of pain and suffering can haunt you and cause you physical pain throughout your life. You also never fully understand someone else’s pain. And even when people do begin to heal, things will never be completely okay again. But for the characters in the drama, it meant that they needed to work even harder to be happy. It was all portrayed so achingly true to life. Just Between Lovers told it’s story beautifully. It’s depiction of trauma and healing was heartachingly real. But even in the midst of tragedy, life does goes on. And those struggling need others to reach out to them and show them that they are not alone. They may not be able to heal all their wounds, but it’s better to have someone to share that pain with and to ease the burden if only by a small amount. Knowing you are not alone can make all the difference. My Rating Click here for more Kdrama Reviews. Sign Up to receive email updates of kdrama casting news, trailers, reviews, and more. It's such a heart contacting story and keep you warm till the end. I thought it won't be great to watch cause from the trailers and everything it doesn't made me anxious to watch it. However, when I just watched the main scene it made me lament my opinion. Am truly lamenting why I hadn't seen it yet. It has a one of a kind plot that we had never seen at this point and the chemistry between the leads was so exceptionally stunning as the two of them are intended to one another. It's not our regular Korean romantic tale, it's simply interesting and the most adorable romantic tale I have at any point seen. It gives u such a huge amount to your heart ones u watch it. The cast is not terrible, but not great either wonderful to depict the stunning characters in this show. It's gives us such a lot of human qualities and we will grin from our souls while watching it. It's difficult to tell you in words how the drama is. The story is simply adorable. Also, is more practical than any drama no show can at any point contrast with it. It has a remarkable spot. On the off chance that u hadn't watched this drama yet, kindly don't pause, don't think anything simply proceed to watch it, regardless of whether u don't care for romantic tale as I do you will adore this one, trust me. Title Just Between Lovers, Rain or Shine, Just in Love Episodes 16 Genre Drama, Tragedy, Romance, Family, Accident, Melodrama Story 9 out of 10 Characters 8 out of 10 Cinematography 8 out of 10 The Drama was filmed in Busan I have a confession to make, dear reader, I am a sucker for melodramas. And Just Between Lovers was one of the best Korean Drama Molodramas I have ever watched. The story is original and unique and the darkness of it all, just enough to keep us going. So, if you are a melodrama lover like I am, you should definitely give this one a try. Story Moon Soo wants to be an architect. But she hasn’t gotten her break yet. So, she works at her mother’s sauna. Years ago, she and her sister had gone to a shopping center, where her sister, a kid model, was to film a commercial. Moon Soo was supposed to watch out for her, but she walked away to meet a boy she was texting. A few minutes later, an earthquake brings the building down. Moon Soo is saved after a while, but her sister is lost. Her mother blames her for that and she even got divorced from their dad. Walking back to her house one day, Moon Soo finds a man nearly beaten to death. She helps him. After that, she gets hired in a project to rebuilt that shopping center that had caused her and her family so much suffering. Regardless, Moon Soo takes the offer. She then meets that man that she saved, Kang Doo. Kang Doo was too in the shopping center when it had collapsed. He had seen Moon Soo and had been amazed by her. After the accident, and while stuck underneath the ruins, he had helped her survive. Unfortunately, he injured his leg and his dreams of becoming a football player vanished. He had been getting by since then by doing odd jobs, with no real purpose in life. Even though they shared the same tragic past, they managed to make each other happy The story was really dramatic and, especially when it came to the tragedy, they presented it so well that the characters’ feelings were easily coming through. The couple was two people struggling to forget what had happened to them and move on, each one in its own way. However, the ending was too cliché for me. Although I was relieved, it could have been presented better. Characters Moon Soo is the leading lady of the drama, a strong young woman who struggles to overcome her problems. Her dreams of becoming an architect are tangled with her past, which she can’t escape. Her family problems are even worse, as the accident had destroyed them. Won Jin Ah was really good as Moon Soo. She was a plain Jane at first, but she managed to shine through. Her dramatic scenes were especially good. Kang Doo is a man with no plan. He is living in the past and struggling to accept his reality. He meets Moon Soo and finally finds a reason to live. Lee Jun Ho of 2PM was a happy surprise. His performance in this drama was great, setting the foundation for a good career, though Wok of Love set that back a little. Main Poster Cinematography The accident was presented decently enough, as it was the main difficulty when it came to cinematography that this drama had. The rest was simply creating a gloomy atmosphere for the romance to flourish. Overall My overall rating is 8 out of 10. Although the drama was really good and the romance sweet and intense, the ending was horrible. I have been watching asian dramas and anime for some years now.
